FAQS

  • In nearly all cases, your health insurance policy will cover a portion of your fee. To be certain, check with your insurer.

  • If you have been suffering or are likely to suffer with an injury for 6 months, you may be eligible for a Chronic Condition Management Plan from a General Practitioner (GPCCMP) which entitles you to funding for 5 treatments with your Osteopath each year. For further inquiries, feel free to get in touch with us.

  • Osteopathy is a recognised system of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention that focuses on the musculoskeletal, neurological and circulatory systems and their relationship with the body's overall function. It is a form of manual medicine that uses a range of hands-on techniques—such as deep soft tissue, joint mobilisation and manipulation, and stretching—to support the body’s natural healing processes.

Osteopaths are trained to assess how the body moves and functions as a whole, considering not only the site of pain but also contributing factors elsewhere in the body. By addressing areas of restriction, imbalance, strain or overload, osteopathy aims to restore optimal mobility, reduce pain, and improve circulation and nervous system function.

In Australia, Osteopaths are allied health professionals registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and complete extensive university training. At Back & Body, your Osteopath holds both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Osteopathy, ensuring a high level of clinical knowledge and patient care.

  • The Osteopaths at Back & Body are anatomical and biomechanics experts. There is no limit to the injuries we can assist with.
